We’re proud to celebrate employees who use their time and talents to make a difference beyond the job site — because building stronger communities starts with each of us.

Today, we're shining a light on Caitlin Beaver, a Project Engineer for FCL Builders, LLC, who is set to receive the Girl Scouts of the USA Volunteer of Excellence Award. As a Troop Leader, she guided her troop in raising $1,151 to create 25 care boxes for Chicago Angels, an organization that walks alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. These boxes contained various necessities, from board games and toiletries to snacks and household products. The funds were secured through a self-organized 5K where the girls "trained for a purpose" by collecting pledges.

This impressive effort follows a pattern of significant service; last year, her troop assembled 100 bags for unhoused veterans via Guardian Corps of America, a direct outreach organization dedicated to supporting homeless U.S. military veterans and citizens by providing essential items like food, clothing, and sleeping gear, and advocating for their well-being.

At FCL, giving back isn’t a program — it’s part of who we are. Our culture is built on more than just concrete and steel — it's built on the values our team members live out every day in their communities. People like Caitlin, who step up, show up, and give back in meaningful ways, reflect the heart of FCL.

Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the many ways our team is taking action across the country! 💪
